Is the Name of the Cooperative Allowed to be Written in a Foreign Language?
Based on Clause 1, Article 22 of the Law on Cooperatives 2012, which provides for the name and symbol of a cooperative as follows:
A cooperative, cooperative alliance decides its name and symbol, but they must not contravene legal regulations. The name of the cooperative, cooperative alliance must be written in Vietnamese, may include numbers, symbols, and must begin with the phrase "Hop tac xa" or "Lien hiep hop tac xa."
According to the above provisions, when a cooperative decides its name and symbol, they must not contravene legal regulations, and the name of the cooperative is required to be written in Vietnamese.
