Is a Bachelor's Degree in Economics Sufficient for Eligibility as a Competition Case Investigator?
According to Article 53 of the Competition Law 2018, the standards for investigators of competition cases are stipulated as follows:
- Must be a Vietnamese citizen with good moral character, integrity, and honesty.
- Must be an official of the National Competition Commission.
- Must hold a university degree or higher in one of the following fields: law, economics, finance, or information technology.
- Must have at least 5 years of practical experience in one or more fields specified in Clause 3 of this Article.
- Must be trained and have professional expertise in investigation.
Thus, if you hold a university degree in economics (Bachelor of Economics) you can still become an investigator of competition cases if you meet all the remaining conditions as stipulated above.
