Conditions for Cooperatives to Operate Fixed-Route Passenger Transportation
Based on Clause 2, Article 67 of the 2008 Road Traffic Law, it is stipulated as follows:
Only enterprises and cooperatives are allowed to engage in passenger transportation business on fixed routes, passenger transportation business by bus, and by taxi, and must meet the following conditions:
- The conditions stipulated in Clause 1 of this Article;- Have a department to manage traffic safety conditions;- Register passenger transportation service quality standards with the competent authority and must publicly post them.
Thus, according to the above regulations, cooperatives are allowed to engage in passenger transportation business on fixed routes when the above conditions are met.
