Vietnam: Duties and powers of the Bailiff Apprenticeship Examination Council
The duties and powers of the Bailiff Apprenticeship Examination Council in Vietnam are specified in Article 20 of Circular 05/2020/TT-BTP. To be specific:

The Apprenticeship Examination Council has the following duties and powers:
a) Issuing an Examination Plan and the regulations for the Examination period.
b) Establishing various Committees of the Apprenticeship Examination Council.
c) Deciding and announcing the list of candidates eligible to participate in the Examination period, along with the time and venue for the examination, notifying the Department of Justice where the candidates are taking the examination, and posting it on the electronic portal of the Ministry of Justice no later than 30 days before the examination date.
d) Organizing the examination, marking, and re-marking the papers.
dd) Recognizing the bailiff apprenticeship examination results.
e) Annuling the bailiff apprenticeship examination results of a candidate when there is a basis to believe that the candidate falls under the cases not allowed to register for practicing as a Bailiff as stipulated in Clause 6, Article 8 of Decree No. 08/2020/ND-CP but still practiced, does not meet the eligibility to attend the Examination period or has fraudulent or other violations that change the apprenticeship results or the bailiff apprenticeship examination results of Bailiffs.
g) Handling complaints and denunciations related to the examination.
h) Sending reports and being responsible for the Minister of Justice on the organization and results of the examination.
i) Other duties and powers as prescribed in this Circular.
2. The Minister of Justice decides to annul the bailiff apprenticeship examination results of a candidate as specified in Point e, Clause 1 of this Article at the proposal of the Director of the Department of Judicial Assistance after the Apprenticeship Examination Council has been dissolved.
