According to Article 42 of the Notarization Law 2014, regulations on notarizing contracts and transactions related to real estate are as follows:
A notary of a notarization practice organization may only notarize contracts and transactions concerning real estate within the province or centrally-governed city where the notarization practice organization is based, except for the notarization of wills, documents declining inheritance of real estate, and documents authorizing the exercise of rights related to real estate.

Time Limit for Notarizing a Land Purchase Contract
According to Article 43 of the Notarization Law 2014, the time limit for notarization is regulated as follows:
The time limit for notarization is determined from the date the notarization request dossier is accepted to the date the notarization result is returned. The time for verifying, evaluating related contract and transaction contents, and posting the acceptance of notarization request for documents on agreement distribution of inheritance, documents on declaration of inheritance, document translation is not included in the notarization time limit.
The notarization time limit shall not exceed 02 working days; for contracts and transactions with complex contents, the notarization time limit may be extended but not exceed 10 working days.
The notarization time limit for a land purchase contract is no more than 02 working days, for complex contracts the notarization time limit may be extended but no more than 10 working days.
