Output Standards for Participation in the Lawyer Training Program for International Integration
Based on Section 4 of the Framework Program for Training Lawyers for International Integration (Attached to Decision 1711/QD-BTP in 2021) regulating the output standards for participating in the program for training lawyers for international integration as follows:
Graduates of the Training Program for Lawyers for International Integration acquire the following knowledge, skills, and qualities:
a) Knowledge
- Apply the legal regulations on the lawyer profession, code of ethics, and professional conduct for lawyers.
- Apply the legal knowledge of lawyers in consultancy, litigation in the fields of commerce, investment, and international dispute resolution.
b) Skills
- Apply basic lawyer skills, including: legal consultancy skills; case study skills; research and citation skills of various sources of international commercial and investment law; legal writing skills; contract drafting skills; negotiation skills; problem-solving skills for legal matters; work management skills; and brand building and development skills for lawyers and law firms.
- Apply the specialized professional skills of lawyers when providing legal consultancy on international commerce, international investment, international business transactions, and foreign-involved investments.
- Apply the specialized professional skills of lawyers when participating in dispute resolution related to international commerce and investment through mediation, arbitration, and court; and specialized professional skills of lawyers when participating in international commercial and investment dispute resolution.
- Apply the professional skills of lawyers in some specialized areas of commerce, investment, and international dispute resolution.
c) Professional ethics and conduct
- Exhibit professional conduct and practice suitable with legal regulations on the lawyer profession, the code of ethics, and the professional conduct of Vietnamese lawyers, and the professional practice requirements of lawyers in the context of international integration.
- Show a sense of responsibility when consulting on issues related to international integration for the Government of Vietnam, the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, State economic groups, and clients.
