On May 14, 2024, the Judicial Academy issued Notice 854/TB-HVTP 2024 here regarding the notice of admissions for the Joint Training Class of Judges, Prosecutors, and Lawyers Course 8, Second Round in 2024 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The training form for the Joint Training Class of Judges, Prosecutors, and Lawyers Course 8, Second Round in 2024 is credit-based (52 credits) over 18 months (excluding summer, holidays, and Tet).
Graduation certificate: Certificate of graduation in adjudication skills, prosecution skills, and lawyer profession.
- Career opportunities after graduation: Graduates can work in the Courts, Prosecution offices, or law firms, legal companies, etc.
- Training locations:
+ In Hanoi: Judicial Academy, Tran Vy Street, Mai Dich Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi.
+ In Ho Chi Minh City: Branch in Ho Chi Minh City - No. 821 Kha Van Can, Linh Tay Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.
Application dossier includes:
- 02 resumes with photos (as per the Judicial Academy's template) certified by the local People's Committee or a notary office (original);
- 02 admissions application forms with photos (as per the Judicial Academy's template) clearly stating the candidate's email address/phone number (original);
- 02 notarized/certified copies of bachelor's degrees in law or higher. For degrees obtained abroad, a certificate from the Department of Quality Management of the Ministry of Education and Training or a document confirming that equivalence certification is not required is needed;
- 04 photos (4x6), clearly stating the candidate's full name and date of birth on the back.
Application submission deadline: August 30, 2024.

How much is the tuition fee for the Joint Training Class of Judges, Prosecutors, and Lawyers Course 8, Second Round in 2024?
In Subsection 5.2 Section 5 of Notice 854/TB-HVTP 2024 here, the tuition fee for the Joint Training Class of Judges, Prosecutors, and Lawyers Course 8, Second Round in 2024 is stipulated as follows:
5. Tuition and Service Fees for Admission

5.2. Tuition:
- For evening classes from Monday to Friday and daytime classes on Saturday and Sunday: The tuition fee is 41,600,000 VND/student/course (Forty-one million six hundred thousand VND).
The annual tuition fee may increase, with the increase subject to legal regulations and decisions by the Director of the Judicial Academy.
- Candidates will enjoy preferential policies for tuition fee exemption and reduction according to Decision No. 2237/QD-HVTP dated November 21, 2023, by the Director of the Judicial Academy on the tuition fees for social demand-based training programs of the Judicial Academy held at its headquarters in Hanoi and its branch in Ho Chi Minh City when:
+ Submitting a complete dossier for tuition fee exemption or reduction: (02 notarized or certified copies of Birth Certificate + Certificate, Disability ID..., Certificate of completion of the social demand-based course of the Judicial Academy);
+ Paying 100% of the tuition fee for the entire course (upon enrollment).
Thus, the tuition fee for the Joint Training Class of Judges, Prosecutors, and Lawyers Course 8, Second Round in 2024 is 41,600,000 VND/student/course.

Vietnamese citizens who are loyal to the Fatherland, abide by the Constitution and laws, possess good ethical qualities, hold a bachelor's degree in law, have completed legal profession training, have undergone a period of lawyer internship, and are physically fit to practice law may become lawyers.
Thus, individuals wishing to practice law as a lawyer must meet the following conditions:
- Be a Vietnamese citizen loyal to the Fatherland, abide by the Constitution and laws, and possess good ethical qualities;- Hold a bachelor's degree in law;- Have completed legal profession training and undergone a period of lawyer internship;- Be physically fit to practice law;- Have a Lawyer Practicing Certificate;- Be a member of a Bar Association.
