Notaries Are Permitted to Sign Notarized Documents After Being Issued a Certification Card, Correct?
According to Clause 2, Article 4 of Circular 01/2021/TT-BTP regarding the registration of notary practice and the issuance of Notary Cards, it stipulates that:
A notary public may only sign notarized documents after registration of practice and issuance of the Notary Card by the Department of Justice.
After registration of practice and issuance of the Notary Card, the notary public must not work under a labor contract or employment contract at any businesses, agencies, or other organizations; must not hold leadership positions in socio-political organizations, socio-political-professional organizations, or participate in activities that require regular working hours during office hours.
Therefore, based on the above regulations, after being registered to practice and issued a notary card by the Department of Justice, a notary public is authorized to sign notarized documents. Consequently, your case has been eligible to sign notarized documents.
Respectfully!
