Maximum Time Limit for Notarization of Documents and Papers
According to Article 43 of the Law on Notarization 2014, it is stipulated:
- The notarization period is determined from the date of acceptance of the notarization request dossier to the date of returning the notarization results. The time for verifying and assessing content related to contracts, transactions, posting the acceptance of notarized documents for the settlement of the estate division, estate acceptance documents, and translation of documents is not included in the notarization period.
- The notarization period shall not exceed 02 working days; for contracts and transactions with complex content, the notarization period may be extended but shall not exceed 10 working days.
=> Therefore, according to the above regulations, the maximum period for the notarization process at notary offices and notary departments is 2 working days, in special cases no more than 10 working days.
