What is reference price at Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange in Vietnam?

In Article 10 of the Regulations guiding securities transactions at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange attached to Decision 02/2012/QD-SGDHCM regulating reference prices at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange as follows:

10.1. The reference price of stocks and fund certificates being traded is the closing price of the most recent previous trading day.

10.2. In case of newly listed stocks or fund certificates, on the first trading day, the reference price is determined according to the provisions of Article 11 of these Regulations.

10.3. In case stocks or fund certificates are temporarily suspended from trading, when trading again, the reference price will be decided by Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange after approval from the State Securities Commission. Other regulations on transactions are similar to those specified in Clause 10.2 of this Article.

10.4. In case of trading in stocks or fund certificates that are not entitled to dividends or accompanying decisions, the reference price at the transaction date is not entitled to the right to be determined according to the principle of taking the closing price of the most recent trading day and adjusting it according to the value of dividends received or the value of attached rights.

In case the issue price of rights to buy shares or fund certificates is greater than the closing price of the shares or fund certificates before the ex-rights date, the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange will not adjust the reference price of stocks and fund certificates on the ex-rights trading day.

10.5. For cases of issuing convertible bonds (including issuance to existing shareholders), issuing private securities, offering securities to investors other than existing shareholders, issuing shares According to the company's employee selection program and issuance cases that do not affect the rights of existing shareholders, Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange will not adjust the reference price of securities on the ex-rights trading day (if an ex-rights trading date is determined).

10.6. In case of stock split or consolidation, the reference price at the return transaction date is determined according to the principle of taking the closing price of the trading day before the split or consolidation date and adjusted according to the ratio of stock split and consolidation.

10.7. In some necessary cases, Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange may apply other reference price determination methods after obtaining approval from the State Securities Commission.

In Article 11 of the Regulations guiding securities transactions at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange attached to Decision 02/2012/QD-SGDHCM regulating determination of price of new stocks, fund certificates and bonds listed at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange as follows:

11.1. Determining the price of newly listed stocks and fund certificates on the first trading day is regulated as follows:

11.1.1. The listing organization and the listing consulting organization (if any) must provide an expected price as a reference price on the first trading day.

11.1.2. The price fluctuation range on the first trading day is at least +/- 20% compared to the reference price on the first trading day.

11.1.3. The closing price on the first trading day will be the reference price for the next trading day. The price fluctuation range specified in Article 9 of this Regulation applies from the next trading day.

11.1.4. If within the first three (3) trading days, newly listed stocks or fund certificates still do not have a closing price, the listing organization will have to re-determine the reference price on the first trading day.

11.1.5. Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange decided to change the price fluctuation range on the first trading day of stocks and fund certificates at point 11.1.2 after receiving approval from the State Securities Commission.

11.2. There is no regulation on the expected reference price or price fluctuation range for newly listed bonds on the first trading day.

11.3. Negotiable trading of stocks and fund certificates is not allowed on the first trading day.

What is determination of price of stocks and fund certificates that can be traded again after being suspended for more than 90 days at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange in Vietnam?

In Article 12 of the Regulations guiding securities transactions at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange attached to Decision 02/2012/QD-SGDHCM regulating determination of price of stocks and fund certificates that can be traded again after being suspended for more than 90 days at the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange as follows:

12.1. For stocks and fund certificates that are traded again after being suspended for more than ninety (90) days, the price fluctuation range on the first trading day will be determined by the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange after approval from the State Securities Commission.

12.2. The closing price on the first trading day after resuming trading will be the reference price for the next trading day. The price fluctuation range specified in Article 9 of this Regulation applies from the next trading day.

12.3. If in the first three (03) days after resuming trading, the stocks and fund certificates that are re-trading still do not have a closing price, Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange will consider adjusting the price range of the stocks, fund certificates after approval from the State Securities Commission.
