Regulations on the Management of Customer Assets by Securities Investment Management Companies
Based on Article 88 of the Securities Law 2019 (Effective January 1, 2021) which regulates the management of client assets by investment management companies as follows:
- Assets of clients entrusted on the deposit accounts of the securities investment fund management company are the property of the entrusted clients, not the assets of the securities investment fund management company.
- In the event that the securities investment fund management company is dissolved or goes bankrupt, the clients' assets must be returned to the clients after deducting the clients' outstanding liabilities to the securities investment fund management company.
