Who Appoints the Principal of a Primary School?
According to Clause 3, Article 9 of Decree 127/2018/ND-CP stipulates: The decision to recruit or authorize the decision to recruit public employees in education according to current regulations; allocate the number of personnel according to the job position; recognize, appoint, dismiss, transfer, change job positions, reward, and discipline the head and deputy head of public educational institutions as stipulated in Clause 1 of this Article, district-level boarding high schools without high school level and other educational institutions under management authority based on plans developed by the Department of Education and Training and appraisal opinions of the Department of Home Affairs.
Referring to Clause 1 of this Article stipulates: The decision to establish or permit the establishment, revoke the decision to establish or permit the establishment, merge, split, dissolve, rename, convert the type of public, semi-public, private educational institutions according to regulations, including: daycare centers, kindergartens, preschools, primary schools, lower secondary schools, multi-level general education schools with the highest level being lower secondary school, semi-boarding ethnic minority schools, community learning centers, and other educational institutions under the state management authority of the district-level People's Committee.
Thus, the principal of the primary school is appointed by the Chairman of the district-level People's Committee.
