Which Documents are Stamped by an Overlapping Seal?
At Clause 1, Article 33 of Decree 30/2020/ND-CP guiding clerical work, there are regulations on the use of seals:
- The seal must be clear, upright, in the correct direction, and use the prescribed red seal ink.
- When placing a seal over a signature, the seal must cover about one-third of the signature on the left side.
- For documents issued along with the main document or appendices: The seal is placed on the first page, covering part of the name of the agency, organization, or appendix title.
- Seals for hanging, overlapping seals, embossed seals on paper documents are regulated by the head of the agency or organization.
- Overlapping seals are placed in the middle of the right edge of the document or document appendix, covering part of the sheets; each seal can cover a maximum of 05 sheets of documents.
=> Thus, there is no regulation specifying which documents are to be sealed for hanging or which are not. The decision on which documents are to be sealed for hanging is made by the head of the agency or organization. However, when executing the hanging seal, it must be clear, upright, in the correct direction, and use the prescribed red seal ink.
