Which Authority Establishes the District People's Court?

Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 4 of the Law on the Organization of People's Courts 2014, it is stipulated as follows:

The Standing Committee of the National Assembly decides on the establishment and dissolution of People's Courts at the district, urban district, district-level town, provincial city, and equivalent levels; People's Courts of provinces and central cities; High People's Courts, and stipulates territorial jurisdiction of High People's Courts at the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court.

Thus, according to the above regulation, it can be seen that District People's Courts are established by the decision of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly.
