What is the probation period for a public employee?
Pursuant to Clause 2, Article 27 of the Public Employee Law 2010:
- Successful public employee candidates must undertake an internship policy, except in cases where they have already completed 12 months or more performing professional and operational duties suited to the requirements of the recruited position.
- The internship duration ranges from 03 months to 12 months and must be stipulated in the employment contract.
- The Government of Vietnam provides detailed regulations on the internship policy.
Therefore, the minimum period must be 03 months and must be stipulated in the aforementioned contract.
