What is the organizational system of the Vietnam Border Guard?

Pursuant to Article 3 of Decree 106/2021/ND-CP stipulating the organizational system of the Border Guard as follows:

1. Border Guard Command

a) The Border Guard Command's agency includes: the General Staff; Department of Politics; Reconnaissance Department; Department of Drugs and Crime Prevention and Control; Department of Border Gate; Logistics Department; Technical Department;

b) Units directly under the Border Guard Command include: Border Guard Squadron; Border Information Brigade; Border Institute; College of Border Guard; 24 Border Guard Intermediate School; Training Center - Mobility;

c) Agencies and units specified at Points a and b of this Clause have affiliated units.

2. Border Guard Commands of provinces and central-affiliated cities

a) The Border Guard Command Offices of provinces and centrally run cities include: Advisory Room; Political Department; Reconnaissance Room; Prevention and fight against drugs and crime; Logistics Department; Technical Department;

b) The agency specified at Point a of this Clause has affiliated units.

3. Border Guard Station; Commanding Board of the Border Guard at the port; Border Guard Squadron

a) Border guard station includes: Armed team; Mass Mobilization Team; Reconnaissance Team; Drug and Crime Prevention Team; Administrative Control Team; Staff - Administration Team; Fleet of Vessels; Border Guard Station;

b) The Border Gate Border Guard Command includes: Advisory Board; Political Committee; Reconnaissance Department; Department of Drugs and Crime Prevention and Control; Department of Logistics - Engineering; Administration Team; Procedure Team; Fleet of Vessels; Border Guard Station;

c) The Border Guard Squadron includes: Staff - Administration Team; Border Patrol.

4. Functions, tasks, powers and working relationships of agencies and units of the Border Guard in accordance with law and the Ministry of National Defense.

5. Competence to establish, reorganize, split, merge, change names, dissolve agencies and units of the Border Guard

a) The establishment, reorganization, division, merger, change of name or dissolution of the Border Guard Command shall be decided by the Government;

b) The establishment, reorganization, division, merger, change of name and dissolution of agencies and units mentioned in Clauses 1, 2 and 3 of this Article shall be decided by the Minister of National Defense.

What are preferential policies and special regimes of the Vietnam Border Guard officers and soldier?

Pursuant to Article 4 of Decree 106/2021/ND-CP stipulating preferential policies and special regimes of the Vietnam Border Guard officers and soldier as follows:

1. Officers, professional soldiers, workers and defense officers of the Border Guard that perform the task of protecting borders and islands for a period of 5 years or more if they wish to move their families to permanent residence. settle down and live a long-term life in border areas and islands, priority is given to the allocation of residential land by the local authorities where they move to according to the provisions of the land law; support for accommodation, family housing, employment for the spouses of officers, professional soldiers, workers and defense officers of the Border Guard and enjoy other regimes and policies according to the provisions of law.

2. Border Guard officers and soldiers are not only entitled to salary regimes, allowances and other policies in the Army, they are also entitled to allowances for the responsibility of protecting borders and islands during the period of direct duty. border and island management and protection.

3. Officers, professional soldiers, workers and defense officers of the Border Guard who have worked continuously for full 05 years or more in the land border areas, islands, archipelagos, and goods. monthly allowances for long-term work in borders and islands. Where the allowance regime for long-term work in the border and islands is specified in many documents, only the highest level of such regime or policy shall be enjoyed.

4. Officers and professional soldiers of the Border Guard, when working as strengthening officers of border communes where socio-economic conditions are particularly difficult, are entitled to a monthly allowance for part-time work and a regime for annual healthcare as prescribed by law.
