Pursuant to Article 5 of Circular 55/2019/TT-BCA stipulating the selection criteria as follows:

1. Political standards

Ensuring political standards as prescribed, in Circular No. 44/2018/TT-BCA dated December 26, 2018 of the Minister of Public Security regulating political standards of officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security and the following standards:

a) Have firm political will, absolute loyalty to the Fatherland, People, Party and State;

b) Be capable and responsible for completing assigned tasks, ready to fight and sacrifice to protect the Party, State, People and the socialist regime, independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, national security; family;

c) Have Honesty, self-discipline, sense of strict discipline, high revolutionary vigilance, preservation and protection of state secrets.

2. Moral qualities: Have good moral qualities and conduct.

3. Diplomas and certificates

Have graduated and been awarded a graduate degree (or certificate) and meet one of the following criteria:

a) The selected subjects specified in Clause 1, Article 3 of this Circular must have graduated from university or higher;

b) The candidates specified in Clause 2, Article 3 of this Circular must have graduated from elementary, intermediate, and college levels (including vocational intermediate and vocational colleges), university, and master's degrees, doctor's degree.

Selection to arrange professional work in the Public Security or to advise and manage the state in the fields according to the functions of the People's Public Security shall only recruit people with a university degree or higher.

4. Age

From full 18 years old to under 30 years old (up to the date of selection decision); citizens with doctorate degrees, level I specialist doctors, level II specialists, residents, level I specialist pharmacists, level II specialist pharmacists majoring in medicine, pharmacy and schools In accordance with the provisions of Clause 1, Article 3 of this Circular, candidates shall be recruited up to the age of 35, the title of professor and associate professor shall be selected until the age of 40.

5. Health

Satisfying the health criteria for recruitment into the People's Public Security Department according to the regulations of the Minister of Public Security and the following regulations:

a) Height: for men from 1m64 or more; for women from 1m58 and up;

b) Visual acuity: the visual acuity without glasses in each eye is 9-10/10, the total visual acuity in both eyes is from 18-20/10;

c) Recruit citizens with science and technology qualifications and arrange to do scientific and technological work, including: professional techniques, criminal techniques, information, ciphers, network security, electronic warfare, and lecturers. teach at training institutions; people with doctoral degrees, level I specialists, level II specialists, residents, level I specialized pharmacists, level II specialized pharmacists in medicine or pharmacy; having the title of professor or associate professor: may be lowered by 02 (two) cm for each gender compared to the provisions at Point a of this Clause; may be nearsighted or farsighted, but not more than 3 diopters per eye.

6. Gifted

Citizens selected to be assigned to public security units must be calm, alert, agile, have a good memory, and have the necessary standards for police aptitude as determined by the police officers. The position under the Ministry of Public Security shall prescribe for each force system (if any).

Thus, male citizens must have a height of 1m64 or more and meet other criteria specified above to be eligible for selection to the People's Public Security.

Can a male citizen who is a child of a People's Public Security officer earn extra points when taking the entrance exam to the People's Public Security of Vietnam?

Pursuant to Article 7 of Circular 55/2019/TT-BCA stipulating priority points as follows:

1. Persons who fully meet the conditions and criteria specified in Articles 4 and 5 of this Circular may receive priority points if they fall into one of the following cases:

a) Have a doctorate degree, a level II specialist doctor, a level II specialist pharmacist in medicine or pharmacology: 50 points will be added to the total score for admission;

b) Possess a master's degree, a level I specialist, a resident doctor, a level I specialist pharmacist majoring in medicine or pharmacy, or having graduated from a university with excellent honors: 40 points will be added to the total score in the entrance exam or admission examination;

c) Graduate from university with good grade; graduated from colleges and universities with excellent and excellent grades; excellent primary school graduation; higher training level and right for the job position to be recruited (according to the selection criteria); ethnic minorities: 30 points will be added to the total score of the entrance exam or admission;

d) Win international and national awards in industries and fields according to the recruitment target: 20 points will be added to the total score of the entrance exam or admission;

dd) Children of: Martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, people entitled to policies like wounded soldiers, people infected with toxic chemicals in war, Heroes of the Armed Forces, Heroes of Labor, Police officers people; the person who fulfills the obligation to join the People's Police: 10 points will be added to the total score of the entrance exam or admission.

2. In case a person has more than one priority specified in Clause 1 of this Article, only the highest priority score may be added to the total number of points in the entrance examination or examination.

Therefore, the biological children of the People's Public Security officers when taking the entrance exam to the People's Public Security will be added 10 points to the total test scores. If ones have many priorities, the highest priority score will be added to the total score of their entrance exam.

What are regulations on calculation of the academic results of male citizens applying to the People's Public Security of Vietnam?

Pursuant to Article 8 of Circular 55/2019/TT-BCA stipulating calculation of the academic results as follows:

1. The learning score is determined by the average score of the results of the subjects in the entire learning process (training course) at the professional, technical, and professional training level, and converted on a 100-point scale, calculated a coefficient of 1.

2. Graduation score at the professional, technical and professional training level is converted on a 100-point scale, with a coefficient of 1, specifically:

a) Graduation score is determined by the average of results of graduation exams;

b) In case there is a graduation thesis score, graduation thesis score, graduation project score, the graduation score is determined as graduation thesis score or graduation thesis score or graduation project score;

c) In case of having a diploma of technical and professional training in the form of transfer at any level, the graduation score is determined by the graduation score at that level of training.

3. In case the transcript determined by the education and training institution is incomplete or the score cannot be determined or there is no transcript, the academic score shall be converted according to the grade or rank of the diploma, graduation certificate and according to the 100 point scale, calculated coefficient 1 as follows:

a) Graduation diplomas and certificates graded average rank or not graded or ranked shall be calculated with academic points equal to 20 points, graduation points equal to 20 points.

b) Graduation diplomas or certificates graded average-fair rank shall be calculated with academic points equal to 40 points, graduation points equal to 40 points;

c) Graduation diplomas or certificates graded fair rank, with study points equal to 60 points, graduation points equal to 60 points;

d) Graduation diplomas and certificates graded good rank, with study points equal to 80 points, graduation points equal to 80 points;

dd) Graduation diploma or certificate graded excellent rank, with the academic score is equal to 90 points, the graduation point is equal to 90 points.

4. In case of training under the credit system, the learning score is also the graduation score, converted on a 100-point scale, with a factor of 1.

5. The student's academic result is the sum of the points of study and graduation.

Thus, the study results of male citizens applying to the People's Police are calculated as the total score of study and graduation points.
