What is the latest salary rate of nursing in Vietnam in 2023?
Pursuant to Article 15 of the Joint Circular 26/2015/TTLT-BYT-BNV stipulating the salary arrangement for nurses as follows:
Salary arrangement
1. The nursing, midwifery, and medical technicians titles specified in this Joint Circular may apply the professional salary table for officials and employees in the State's non-business units (Table 3) issued together with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP dated December 14, 2004 of the Government on the salary regime for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces, as follows:
a) Class II nursing professional titles, class II midwife job titles, and class II medical technical professional titles may apply the salary coefficient of grade A2 (group A2.1), from the salary coefficient from 4.40 to 6.78 salary coefficient;
b) Class III nursing professional titles, class III midwife job titles, and class III medical technical professional titles may apply the A1 salary coefficient for public employees, ranging from a salary coefficient of 2.34 to a salary coefficient of grade III. salary 4.98;
c) Class IV nursing professional titles, class IV midwifery professional titles, and class IV medical technical professional titles are entitled to the salary coefficient of class B public employees, ranging from salary coefficient 1.86 to the salary coefficient of grade IV. salary 4.06.
2. Salary arrangement at the end of the probationary period and appointed to a professional title:
After the probationary period has expired as prescribed and the professional title is appointed by the competent authority managing public employees, the salary rank in the appointed professional title shall be arranged as follows:
a) If you have a doctorate in nursing, you will be ranked 3rd, with a salary coefficient of 3.00 of the class III nursing professional title (code V.08.05.12); doctorate in midwifery will be ranked 3rd, salary coefficient 3.00 of the professional title of midwife class III (code V.08.06.15); Doctorate in medical engineering will be ranked 3rd, salary coefficient 3.00 of the medical technical professional title, class III (code V.08.07.18).
b) If you have a master's degree in nursing, you will be ranked at level 2, with a salary coefficient of 2.67 of the class III nursing professional title (code V.08.05.12); the master's degree in midwifery is ranked at level 2, salary coefficient 2.67 of the professional title of midwife class III (code V.08.06.15); Master's degree in medical engineering is ranked at level 2, salary coefficient 2.67 of professional title of medical technician class III (code V.08.07.18).
c) If you have a college degree in nursing, you will be ranked at level 2, with a salary coefficient of 2.06 of the class IV nursing professional title (code V.08.05.13); College degree of midwifery is ranked 2nd, salary coefficient 2.06 of the professional title of midwife class IV (code V.08.06.16); The medical technical college degree is ranked at level 2, salary coefficient 2.06 of the medical technical professional title, grade IV (code V.08.07.19).

Thus, the nursing salary will be equal to the base salary multiplied by the salary coefficient corresponding to the professional title.
The basic salary of nurses applied from July 1, 2023 is VND 1,800,000/month (Article 3 of Decree 24/2023/ND-CP).
The latest nursing salary list applies from July 1, 2023.

Pursuant to Clause 1 Article 14 of the Joint Circular 26/2015/TTLT-BYT-BNV, public employees who have been appointed to the nursing ranks according to the provisions of Decision 41/2005/QD-BNV are now appointed to the nursing positions in the following cases:
- Appointment to the professional title of nursing class II (code: V.08.05.11) for public employees currently holding the main nursing rank (code: 16a. 199).
- Appointment to a class III nursing professional title (code: V.08.05.12) for public employees currently holding the nursing rank (code: 16b. 120).
- Appointment to the professional title of nursing class IV (code: V.08.05.13) for public employees who currently hold the rank of college nursing (code: 16a. 200) and intermediate nursing rank (code: 16a. 121).
What are career titles of nursing in Vietnam?
