What are the Functions of the District-level Division of Economy and Infrastructure?
The District Economic and Infrastructure Office has the functions prescribed in Clause 9, Article 1 of Decree 108/2020/ND-CP, specifically:
Advises and assists the District People’s Committee in performing state management functions on: Industry; handicrafts; commerce; construction planning, architecture; construction investment activities; urban development; urban technical infrastructure, industrial zones, economic zones, high-tech zones (including: urban water supply, drainage in urban and industrial zones, economic zones, high-tech zones, construction materials production facilities; urban lighting, urban green spaces; cemetery management, excluding martyr cemeteries; management of underground urban construction; and management of shared use of urban technical infrastructure); housing; public buildings; construction materials; transportation; science and technology.
For districts with a high urbanization rate, the District People’s Committee shall submit to the People's Council at the same level for decision on organizing two specialized offices as prescribed in Clause 1 of this Article.
