What are the duties of the Commune-Level Military Service Council?
According to Article 39 of the Law on Military Service 2015, the duties of the Commune-level Military Service Council are prescribed as follows:
Assist the Commune-level People's Committee in organizing the dissemination and communication of the law on military service; organizing the registration for military service and health examinations for citizens.
Report to the Commune-level People's Committee and the District-level Military Service Council the list of citizens called for enlistment, those whose enlistment is temporarily postponed, exempted from enlistment, and those fulfilling obligations in the People's Police.
Organize for citizens to execute orders for enlistment and performing obligations in the People's Police; orders for centralized training, maneuvers, readiness checks for mobilization, and combat readiness.
Assist the Commune-level People's Committee in inspecting and guiding relevant agencies and organizations in implementing policies for military rear services and managing citizens subject to military service obligations in the locality.
Assist the Chairman of the Commune-level People's Committee in reviewing and resolving complaints and denunciations concerning the implementation of the law on military service.
