According to the National Standard TCVN/QS 1822:2021 for Self-Defense Forces uniforms issued together with Decree 94/2021/TT-BQP, technical requirements for pants of female soldiers are stipulated under Part 18: Pants of female soldiers as follows:

3.1 General requirements

3.1.1 External requirements

The pants should have a long European style with 2 slant pockets, with the front body folded 1 inch to the side. The pants should have a front zipper closure, with each side of the back body folded 1 inch; the waistband should have button fastening and an inner hook; the pants should have 6 loops for threading a belt. The waistband should have adjustable Velcro on both sides for waist size adjustment. There should be two welt pockets on the thighs, with pocket flaps attached to the pocket body using adhesive Velcro; the pocket body should have a flap that goes along the length of the pants, and the edge of the flap should be sewn with two layers of cotton fabric. The pants should have buttons attached vertically along the side seam and a drawstring loop on the side seam.

3.1.2 Material requirements

- The pants should be made of 65/35 Gabardine fabric in dark navy blue, meeting the technical requirements specified in Table B.1 of Appendix B.

- The pocket lining should be made of Kate fabric in the same color as the main material, meeting the technical requirements specified in Table B.4 of Appendix B.

- The solid thermal plastic buttons should be the same color as the main material, meeting the technical requirements specified in Table B.5 of Appendix B.

- The sewing thread should be Peco 60/3 in the same color as the main material, meeting the technical requirements specified in Table B.6 of Appendix B.

3.2 Technical specifications

3.2.1 Basic dimensions

The female soldier pants come in sizes 3, 4, and 5. The basic dimensions of the female soldier pants are specified in Table C.17 of Appendix C.

3.2.2 Cutting requirements

- The cutting of product details should ensure straight grain lines.

- Cutting details along the fabric grain: Pants body, waistband, pocket flaps, fly facing, fly cover, drawstring.

- Cutting details across the fabric grain: Pants pocket flaps, waistband lining.

3.2.3 Sewing requirements

- Use size 14 needles for sewing, ensuring consistent and even stitches without skipped stitches, puckering, fabric wrinkles, or loose threads.

- The sewing lines should have 5 to 6 stitches per centimeter. The beginning and end of each sewing line should have 3 backstitches, with a length of 1 centimeter, stacked closely together, with excess threads cut cleanly, without any loose stitches or thread ends.

- Sewing lines should be 0.1 cm from the edge: Fly facing, pants body to zipper, drawstring, pocket welt, drawstring loop.

- Sewing lines should be 0.2 cm from the edge: Around adhesive Velcro.

- Sewing lines should be 0.4 cm from the edge: Decorative stitching on pocket flaps, topstitching on waistband, waistband ends, around pocket lining.

- Sewing lines should be 0.7 cm from the edge: Slanted pocket opening.

- Sewing lines should be 1 cm from the edge: Inseam, side seam.

- Parallel sewing lines should be 0.6 cm apart: Vertical seams, inseams, fly, zipper tape, thigh pocket flap.

3.2.4 Buttonholes and button attachment requirements

- Buttonholes should be evenly spaced, with tight and neat stitches, without puckering, skipped stitches, with a density of 14 stitches per centimeter, securely holding the buttons.

- The buttonholes on the waistband should be horizontal, positioned in the middle of the waistband, 0.7 cm from the waistband end, with a width of 1.6 cm.

- Buttons should be symmetrically attached to the buttonholes, with a minimum of 12 stitches passing through 2 buttonholes, securely holding the buttons, without loose stitches, without wrinkling the fabric, and with excess thread ends cut cleanly.

3.2.5 Ironing requirements

After the female soldier pants are sewn, they should be ironed on an appropriate temperature ironing table, ironing along the length of the pants, waistband, entire outer surface of the pants, and flat according to the pants' crease from the waistband down the leg.
