The tasks and powers of the Chairman of the National Committee on Digital Transformation in Vietnam
Based on Article 4 of the Regulations on the operation of the National Committee on Digital Transformation issued together with Decision No. 24/QD-UBQGCDS in 2022 regulating the tasks and powers of the Chairman of the Committee as follows:
1. Directing and comprehensively managing the organization, functions, tasks, and activities of the Committee; assigning tasks to Committee members; issuing programs, work plans, and conducting annual inspections of the Committee.
2. Directly leading activities to promote the national digital transformation process, closely linked to administrative reform; building and developing e-Government, digital government, digital economy, digital society, and smart cities; facilitating the implementation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Vietnam.
3. Convening and presiding over regular or ad-hoc meetings of the Committee.
The tasks and powers of the Vice Chairman of the National Committee on Digital Transformation in Vietnam
Based on Article 5 of the Regulations on the operation of the National Committee on Digital Transformation issued together with Decision No. 24/QD-UBQGCDS in 2022 regulating the tasks and powers of the Vice Chairman of the Committee as follows:
1. The Vice Chairman of the Committee assists the Chairman of the Committee in directly directing the activities of the Committee; reviewing and resolving routine tasks of the Committee. In the absence of the Chairman of the Committee, the Vice Chairman acts on behalf of the Chairman to lead the work of the Committee.
2. The Vice Chairman of the Committee
a) Advises and assists the Chairman of the Committee on national digital transformation; building and developing e-Government, digital government; information technology and telecommunications serving the development of smart cities, digital economy, and digital society. Directly supervises the Working Group;
b) Assists the Chairman of the Committee in directing and urging ministries, sectors, and localities to develop and implement digital transformation plans, build e-Government, digital government, electronic governance, to achieve quantitative targets set by the Government, the Prime Minister; requires ministries, sectors, and localities to implement the information reporting regime, report according to the template and comply with reporting deadlines, moving towards implementing the online information reporting regime;
c) Performs other tasks as assigned by the Chairman of the Committee.
