- Name of the commendation medal: “Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Construction”.
2. Subjects eligible for the “Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Construction” include:
a) Leaders, former Leaders of the Ministry of Construction;
b) Officials and public employees, workers currently working or retired from policy-making in agencies, organizations, units within the Construction sector;
c) Leaders of ministries, committees, sectors, central and local organizations;
d) Individuals outside the Construction sector with significant contributions to the development of the Construction sector;
dd) Vietnamese individuals living abroad; foreign individuals with achievements and contributions to the development of the Construction sector.

What are the criteria for awarding the Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Construction to individuals in Vietnam?
Based on clauses 3 and 4 of Article 8 of Circular 01/2024/TT-BXD on the criteria for awarding the Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Construction to individuals:
[1] Criteria for awarding the Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Construction to individuals working in the Construction sector
The Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Construction is awarded or posthumously awarded once to individuals currently working or retired from policy-making in the Construction sector, meeting one of the following criteria:
- Leaders, former Leaders of the Ministry of Construction
- Individuals awarded the title Hero of Labor
- Officials and public employees, workers assessed by competent authorities as having completed assigned tasks well and having the following seniority:
+ For men: 20 consecutive years working in the Construction sector or a total of 25 years, including 15 consecutive years in the Construction sector
+ For women: 15 consecutive years working in the Construction sector or a total of 20 years, including 10 consecutive years in the Construction sector.
[2] Criteria for awarding the “Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Construction” to individuals outside the Construction sector
The “Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Construction” is awarded once to individuals outside the Construction sector, meeting one of the following criteria:
- Leaders of ministries, committees, central and local organizations with contributions to the development of the Construction sector
- Individuals with inventions, innovations, national scientific works of value applied in the Construction sector, recognized by competent authorities
- Vietnamese individuals living abroad, foreign individuals with achievements, contributions in building and strengthening cooperative relations between countries, international organizations and the Vietnamese Construction sector, contributing positively to the development of the Construction sector
- Individuals with achievements, contributions, practical, and effective support for the development of the Construction sector
When will the awarding of the Commemorative Medal for the Construction Cause be conducted in Vietnam?
Based on clause 6 of Article 8 of Circular 01/2024/TT-BXD on the regulation of commendation medals, subjects, and criteria for awarding commendation medals:

- The awarding of the “Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Construction” is conducted annually on the occasion of the Construction sector's Traditional Day (April 29) and National Day (September 2) or awarded unexpectedly as decided by the Minister of Construction.
Thus, the awarding of the Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Construction is conducted in the following cases:
- Construction sector's Traditional Day (April 29)
- National Day (September 2)
- Unexpected awarding
