What are regulations on the contribution amounts from enterprises to the Overseas Employment Support Fund in Vietnam?
Under Article 7 of Decision 40/2021/QD-TTg, the contribution amount from enterprises to the Overseas Employment Support Fund is as follows:
- Contribution amount:
Enterprises engaged in the service of sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad are required to contribute to the Fund at a rate of 150,000 VND per worker per contract. This contribution amount can be accounted for as part of the operating expenses for sending workers to work abroad.
The basis for the contribution to the Fund is the contract between the service enterprise and the worker for sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad.
- On a monthly basis, enterprises are required to make the contribution either in cash or by bank transfer to the Fund, based on the number of workers sent to work abroad by the enterprise during that month. The contribution must be made no later than the 10th day of the following month.

Under Article 8 of Decision 40/2021/QD-TTg, the contribution amounts from workers to the Overseas Employment Support Fund in Vietnam is as follows:
- Contribution amount:
Workers who go to work abroad are required to contribute to the Fund at a rate of 100,000 VND per person per contract.
The basis for the contribution to the Fund can be one of the following types of contracts or documents:
+ Contract for sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad signed between the worker and the service enterprise or career organization.
+ Contract for vocational training abroad signed between the worker and the enterprise for training, improving qualifications, and skills abroad.
+ Contract or agreement signed between the worker and the enterprise for bidding or undertaking construction projects or projects abroad that involve sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad.
+ Contract or agreement signed between the worker and Vietnamese organizations or individuals investing abroad for sending workers to work abroad.
+ Labor contract signed between the worker and the foreign employer.
- Workers contribute directly to the Fund by either paying in cash or making a bank transfer to the Fund no later than 3 days before the departure date or no later than 5 working days from the date of receiving the approval notification of the contract registration from the competent state agency for cases where the labor contract is concluded after departure.
In case the worker contributes to the Fund through the enterprise, organization, or individual that sends them abroad, that entity or individual collects and transfers the entire contribution amount from the worker for the month to the Fund's account, no later than the 10th day of the following month.
- In the case of cash contributions from workers, the agency, enterprise, organization, or individual collecting the contribution provides a receipt to the worker.
