The civil service exam is conducted in two rounds as follows:

1. Round 1: Multiple-choice exam is conducted in the form of a computer-based exam. In case the unit that organizes the recruitment of civil servants is not able to organize the computer-based exam, the multiple-choice test is on paper.

a) The content of the multiple-choice exam consists of 3 parts:

a1) Part I: General knowledge includes 60 questions about the political system, organizational apparatus of the Party, State, socio-political organizations; Government administrative management; civil servants and public servants; guidelines and guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State on the recruitment industry and field; responsibilities and duties of civil servants according to the requirements of the job position applied for. b) Exemption from the foreign language test (round 1) in the following cases:

b2) Possessing a bachelor's or graduate degree in a foreign country or a university or graduate degree at a foreign language training institution in Vietnam recognized by a competent authority.

Candidates for recruitment to work as civil servants in ethnic minority areas are ethnic minorities or have certificates of ethnic minority languages ​​recognized by competent authorities.

c) Exemption from the informatics exam (round 1) for those who have an intermediate diploma in information technology, informatics or math - informatics or higher.

d) The results of the first round exam are determined according to the number of correct answers for each test section specified at point a, clause 1 of this Article, if 50% or more of the questions are answered correctly for each section, the candidate may continue to take the second round as prescribed in Clause 2 of this Article.

dd) In case the agency competent to recruit civil servants organizes the first round on a computer, it must notify the candidate of the results immediately after completing the exam on the computer; do not conduct a review of the results of the first round on a computer.

e) In case the unit that organizes recruitment of civil servants organizes the first round on paper, the examination shall be marked as follows:

e1) No later than 15 days after the end of the first round, the marking of the first round must be completed;

e2) No later than 5 working days after the end of the first round of marking, the results of the test must be announced and the receipt of the application for re-examination announced for the candidates to know. The application for re-examination must be submitted within 15 days from the date of notification of test scores on the portal of the public servant recruitment agency;

e3) If there is an application for re-examination, within 15 days after the expiration of the time limit for receiving the re-examination application, the re-evaluation must be completed and the re-examination results announced for the candidates to know;

e4) Based on practical conditions in the process of organizing the examination, the Civil Service Recruitment Council shall decide to extend the time limit specified at Points e1, e2 and e3 but not exceeding 15 days.

g) Within 05 working days after the end of marking round 1 as prescribed at Points d and e of this Clause, the Civil Service Recruitment Council must notify the summoning of eligible candidates to take the 2nd round exam. .

No later than 15 days after the notice of summoning candidates to participate in the second round, the second round must be held.

2. Round 2: Exam for specialized professional subjects

a) Contents of the exam: The knowledge, capacity and skills to perform official duties of the candidate for civil servant recruitment according to the requirements of the job position to be recruited.

b) Format of exam: Interview or written exam.

The Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Chief Procurator of the Senior People's Procuracy, and the Chief Procurator of the Provincial People's Procuracy shall decide on the form of the interview or the written exam. In case the second round is held in the form of an interview, the re-examination will not be conducted.

c) Scale (interview or written test): 100 points.

d) Exam time: Maximum 30 minutes for the interview test (before the interview, candidates have no more than 15 minutes to prepare), 180 minutes for the written test (not including the time to issue questions).
