Are Vietnamese citizens whose left eye vision is only 7/10 eligible for conscription?
Under Appendix 1 on Health Classification by Physical Strength and Diseases/Disabilities issued together with Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP, the regulations are as follows:

According to the provisions of Clause 4, Article 9 of Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP, health classification shall follow the scores of 8 criteria recorded on the pre-enlistment check-up sheet to classify health. To be specific:
- Type 1: All 8 criteria score 1;
- Type 2: At least 1 criterion scores 2;
- Type 3: At least 1 criterion scores 3;
- Type 4: At least 1 criterion scores 4;
Therefore, where your left eye vision is only 7/10 and the right eye is 9/10 (without glasses), your health is classified as type 4.
Under Point a, Clause 3, Article 4 of Circular 148/2018/TT-BQP on health requirements for drafting in Vietnam:
Under the above regulations, you do not meet the health requirements for conscription in Vietnam.
