Vietnam: What is the reimbursement amount when applying for transfer out of the People's Public Security Force after graduation?
According to Point a, Clause 1, Section I of Decision No. 532/2007/QD-BCA"
"Officer, non-commissioned officer applying for discharge, transfer of the sector; disciplined by discharge, transfer of the sector, or disciplined by revoking the title of the People's Police (hereinafter collectively referred to as transferring out of the People's Public Security force) when not having completed the required service duration stipulated in Clause 1, Section II of this Decision"
Therefore, if, after graduating, you apply for transfer out of the People's Public Security force but the required service duration is not met, you will have to reimburse the training costs according to Point b, Clause 2, Section II of this Decision. To be specific:
For cases where individuals transfer out of the People's Public Security force after completing their training course:
Based on the required service duration, the continuous working time of officers and soldiers at the unit after completing the training course, and the cost of the training course used for calculating the reimbursement amount according to the formula:

The cost of the training course to be reimbursed includes All costs for the training course (including travel expenses) calculated per person trained for 03 (three) months or more from the state budget, official foreign aid sources, and financial resources of the police unit or localities.
