Types of Allowances Used as a Basis for Calculating Public Service Allowance for Officials

Article 3 of Decree 34/2012/ND-CP stipulates the level of public service allowances as follows:

The subjects specified in Article 2 of this Decree shall be granted a public service allowance equal to 25% of their current salary plus the position allowance for leaders and the seniority allowance in excess of the bracket (if any) or the rank allowance.

Thus, the position allowance for leaders and the seniority allowance in excess of the bracket (if any) or the rank allowance are the types of allowances that will be included to form the basis for calculating the public service allowance.

The specific calculation formula is as follows:

Public Service Allowance = 25% x (current salary + position allowance for leaders + seniority allowance in excess of the bracket (if any) (or + rank allowance)).
