Title: Can One Join Military Service with Tooth Decay?
According to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 4 of Circular 148/2018/TT-BQP, only citizens with health grades 1, 2, and 3 are selected for military enlistment based on the health classification standards in Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP.
Clause 4, Article 9 of Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP stipulates military service health classification criteria as follows:
- Grade 1: All 8 criteria score 1;
- Grade 2: At least 1 criterion scores 2;
- Grade 3: At least 1 criterion scores 3;
- Grade 4: At least 1 criterion scores 4;
- Grade 5: At least 1 criterion scores 5;
- Grade 6: At least 1 criterion scores 6.
Based on Appendix 1, Health Classification by Physical Condition and Illness issued with Joint Circular 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP, cases of dental cavities are specified as follows:
- Only cavities level 1-2, no or little effect on chewing: 2 points;
- ≤ 3 level 3 cavities: 2 points;
- 4-5 level 3 cavities: 3 points;
- 6 level 3 cavities: 4T points;
- 7 or more level 3 cavities: 5T points.
Thus, in your case, currently having 2 level 3 cavities would score 2 points. Therefore, in this case, you may be classified as health grade 2. Hence, if you meet the other conditions, you will be eligible for military service.
Respectfully!
