Qualifications of a Grade II Heritage Officer

The duties of a Grade II Heritage Officer include:- Conducting research and proposing measures for the conservation and promotion of cultural heritage values.- Participating in the organization and management of activities related to cultural heritage.- Providing guidance and support to lower-grade officers in their duties.The standards for educational and training qualifications for a Grade II Heritage Officer include:- Having a university degree or higher in fields related to cultural heritage, such as history, anthropology, archaeology, or museology.- Completing professional training courses on cultural heritage management.- Having experience in the field of cultural heritage conservation and management, demonstrated by a record of related work and achievements.

What Are the Responsibilities of Heritage Officer Level II?

Based on Clause 1, Article 5 of Circular 16/2021/TT-BVHTTDL, the responsibilities of Heritage Officer Level II are as follows:

- Leading the development of long-term, medium-term, and annual plans for the protection and promotion of the value of assigned cultural heritage, and organizing the implementation after approval.

- Leading or participating in research activities, applying scientific and technological achievements in the protection and promotion of cultural heritage value.

- Developing proposals, outlines for the display and introduction of cultural heritage, plans for the conservation of monuments; organizing thematic displays for the museum.

- Developing projects, plans, and organizing the implementation of propaganda and education activities at museums and monuments; directly conducting propaganda work for research subjects and visitors requiring specialized expertise.

- Organizing inventory, developing conservation projects, and enhancing the value of intangible cultural heritage. Organizing surveys, collections, and assigned archaeological excavations.

- Participating in summarizing evaluations, proposing amendments, supplements, and improving procedures and regulations related to professional and technical activities for the protection and promotion of cultural heritage value.

- Participating in the development of program content, compiling documents, and participating in the training and professional guidance for lower-ranking heritage officers.

Standards for Education and Training of Heritage Officer Level II

Based on Clause 2, Article 5 of Circular 16/2021/TT-BVHTTDL, the standards for education and training of Heritage Officer Level II are as follows:

- Having a university degree or higher relevant to the field of cultural heritage.

- Possessing a certificate of professional training standards for the public employee specialized in cultural heritage.
