The Conscription Duration for Military Service in 2021
According to the provisions of Article 33 of the 2015 Law on Military Service, the number of times and the timing for calling citizens to enlist are specified as follows:
- Annually, citizens are called to enlist in the military and fulfill the obligation to participate in the People's Public Security once in February or March;
- In case of necessity for national defense and security reasons, citizens may be called to enlist in the military and fulfill the obligation to participate in the People's Public Security a second time.
- For localities experiencing disasters or dangerous epidemics, the time for calling citizens to enlist and fulfill the obligation to participate in the People's Public Security can be adjusted.
=> Thus, according to the above provisions, the time for enlistment for those who are selected for military service in 2020 will approximately be in February or March 2021. For localities with objective reasons such as epidemics or disasters, the enlistment time will be adjusted.
