Term 8: Is it an Auxiliary Tool?
Based on Clause 11, Article 3 of the 2017 Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives, and Supporting Tools, it is stipulated:
Supporting tools are means, service animals used to carry out official duties, perform protection tasks in order to limit and prevent individuals who violate the law from resisting or escaping; protect the performing officers and personnel carrying out protection tasks or give emergency signals, including:
a) Electric guns, tear gas, toxins, anesthetics, magnetic fields, lasers, nets; rope launchers; plastic bullet guns, explosion, rubber, tear gas, flares, signaling, marking guns and ammunition for these guns;
b) Devices for spraying tear gas, tear smoke, toxins, anesthetics, irritants;
c) Smoke grenades, tear gas grenades, explosive devices;
d) Electric batons, rubber batons, metal batons; handcuffs; spike strips, barbed wire; bulletproof vests; electric gloves, knife-catching gloves; shields, bulletproof helmets; sound suppression devices.

Therefore, according to legal provisions, handcuffs, also known as "eight-number locks," are one of the supporting tools.
