The national standard TCVN/QS 1822:2021 on the uniform of the Militia and Self-defense Force is issued together with Circular 94/2021/TT-BQP, according to which the national standard TCVN/QS 1822-32:2021 on the uniform of the Militia and Self-defense Force - Part 32: Single blanket for standing militia, Section 3 Technical requirements for this product are as follows:
3.1 General requirements
3.1.1 External requirements
- Blanket cover: Rectangular shape, with 6 tie strings at the corners and in the middle of the length of the inner blanket cover, the mouth of the blanket is attached with 3 plastic buttons with a diameter of 15 mm, the buttonholes are inserted into the inner mouth of the blanket, the buttons attached to the outer buttonholes are turned towards the left side of the corresponding fabric position with the center of the buttonhole;
- Blanket filling: Rectangular shape, with an outer fabric bag and an inner cotton fiber membrane, 6 tie strings at the 4 corners and in the middle of the two long edges. The blanket filling is evenly spread on specialized equipment to ensure technical and artistic requirements;
- Colors:
+ Blanket cover: Dark blue color;
+ Blanket filling: White color.
3.1.2 Requirements for materials
- The single blanket cover for standing militia is made of dark blue phin fabric, ensuring the specified technical requirements in Annex B.22;
- The blanket filling is made of 100% Polyester (PET) fiber, ensuring the specified technical requirements in Annex B.23;
- The fabric bag is made of 100% Polyester fiber, ensuring the specified technical requirements in Annex B.24;
- Peco 60/3 thread of the same color as the main material is used for sewing, ensuring the specified technical requirements in Annex B.6.
3.2 Technical specifications
3.2.1 Basic dimensions
The basic dimensions of the single blanket for standing militia are specified in Table C.30 of Annex C.
3.2.2 Cutting requirements
The cutting details must be straight along the fabric grain, the length of the single blanket for standing militia follows the vertical direction of the fabric grain, without slanting, ensuring the required dimensions: Length of the blanket cover, tie thickness, mouth attachment.
3.2.3 Sewing requirements
- Use size 14 needle for sewing, the stitches must be even, without skipped stitches, loose threads, fabric wrinkles, or puckering;
- The sewing lines must have a density of 5 stitches/1 cm. The beginning and end of the sewing lines must be backstitched 3 times, with a length of 1 cm, overlapping tightly, cut off excess threads, no loose threads, puckering or gathering;
- Sewing line distance from the edge is 0.7 cm: Sew along the length of the blanket cover;
- Sewing line distance from the edge is 1 cm: Sew at both ends of the blanket cover;
- The topstitching on specialized machines must have a density of 15 stitches/10 cm, the topstitching line must be even, balanced, and meet the regulations;
- The blanket mouth is sewn in the middle of one width edge of the blanket, symmetrical on both sides, the two ends of the blanket mouth must be sewn diagonally to form a square with a side length of 2 cm, sew an X shape in the middle, backstitch 3 times for secure attachment.
3.2.4 Requirements for buttonholes and button attachment
- The buttonholes must be even, close to the edge without puckering, loose threads, with a density of 14 stitches/1 cm, securely attached without loose or missing stitches;
- The width of the buttonhole after completion must be wider than the diameter of the button by 0.1 cm, the buttonhole is horizontally aligned with the blanket mouth, 1 cm away from the edge of the blanket mouth, the buttonhole is evenly attached to the edge, without wrinkles or loose threads;
- The buttons are attached symmetrically to the buttonholes, with a minimum of 12 stitches through 2 buttonholes, securely attached without loose or missing stitches, without wrinkling the fabric, cut off excess thread ends.
