Technical Requirements for Bed Mattresses of Permanent Militia (Self-Defense Militia)
National Standard TCVN/QS 1822:2021 Militia and Self-Defense Force Uniforms
Issued together with Circular 94/2021/TT-BQP, whereby National Standard TCVN/QS 1822-33:2021 Militia and Self-Defense Force Uniforms - Part 33: Permanent Militia Bed Mat, Section 3 Technical Requirements for this product are as follows:
3.1 General Requirements
3.1.1 Appearance Requirements
- The mattress cover is a rectangular box divided into three equal compartments, each with a plastic zipper mouth;
- The mattress core is made of polyester fiber sheets bonded together into a solid block. Each mattress has three core sheets of the same size. The mattress core is inserted into the mattress cover;
- Color: The mattress cover is dark cobalt blue, the mattress core is white.
3.1.2 Material Requirements
- The fabric for the mattress cover is twill woven from polyester blended with cotton yarn, which has been dyed and processed, ensuring technical specifications as prescribed in Form B.25 Annex B;
- Peco 60/3 sewing thread of the same color as the main material, ensuring technical specifications as prescribed in Form B.6 Annex B;
- Grade 8-9/12 white polyester fiber with a thickness of not less than 5 cm, free from stains, water absorption, impurities, and chemicals; the fiber is evenly spread into a homogeneous sheet, free from impurities and harmful chemicals, ensuring cohesion;
- Specialized plastic zipper of the same color as the main material; zipper teeth width 5 mm.
3.2 Technical Indicators
3.2.1 Basic Dimensions
Permanent militia bed mats come in sizes 1, 2, and 3, with finished dimensions as specified in Table C.31 Annex C.
3.2.2 Cutting Requirements
- Mattress cover: Fabric must be cut along the fiber grain, lengthwise along the fabric threads, without skewing, ensuring correct dimensions (seams are not allowed);
- Mattress core sheets: Cut into three sheets of equal size, corners must be square.
3.2.3 Sewing Requirements
- Use a No. 14 needle for sewing, stitches must be even, without skipped stitches, unraveling, fabric puckering, thread fraying, or breaking;
- Seams must ensure a density of 5 stitches/cm. The beginning and end of each seam must be locked with 3 overlapping stitches, 1 cm each, cut off excess thread, seams must not be frayed or puckered;
- 1 cm seam allowance: Seams around the mattress;
- 0.2 cm seam allowance: Topstitching around the mattress cover;
- 0.8 cm seam allowance: Zipper opening stitching;
- Sewing the zipper closure of the mattress cover must be tight with no gaps or exposed zippers.
