1. What are the professional competence standards of preservation technicians in Vietnam?

Under Clause 3, Article 20 of Circular 29/2022/TT-BTC, the professional competence standards of preservation technicians in Vietnam are as follows:

a) Fully understand the policies, guidelines of the Communist Party of Vietnam, legal regulations, and policies related to national reserve work; fundamental issues about the administrative reform program of the Government of Vietnam; the finance sector and development strategy of the finance sector and the national reserve sector;

b) Thoroughly understand and apply principles, policies, technical processes, quality management regulations, and management of national reserve goods preservation work;

c) Use the assigned technical means and perform tasks related to testing, analyzing, processing, and managing quality standards, technical-economic norms of national reserve goods during import, export, and storage according to regulations;

d) Have the ability to research and propose solutions related to processes, regulations, and preservation technology techniques of national reserve goods;

dd) Have basic information technology skills and be able to use a foreign language or be able to use a minority language for officials working in minority areas as required by the job position.

2. What are the qualification standards of preservation technicians in Vietnam?

Under Clause 4, Article 20 of Circular 29/2022/TT-BTC, the qualification standards of preservation technicians in Vietnam are as follows:

a) Possess a university degree or higher with a technical major suitable for the job position requirements;

b) Possess a certificate of retraining in state management knowledge and skills for officials holding the specialist grade and equivalent.
