Specific Standards for the Position of Minister:

Based on Subsection a, Section 2.15, Subitem 2, Item I of Regulation 214-QD/TW of 2020 which stipulates specific standards for the position of Minister and equivalent, Chief of the Office of the President as follows:

a) **** Minister and equivalent, Chief of the Office of the President

Ensure full compliance with the general standards of members of the Politburo, Secretariat, or members of the Central Executive Committee, and simultaneously, possess the following qualities and competencies: Have a high level of expertise and deep understanding of state management, thorough knowledge of Vietnamese law, international law, and practices. Have the capability to concretize the guidelines, directions, and policies of the Communist Party, the laws of the State to formulate strategies and policies for the development of the assigned sector or field, and effectively direct their implementation. Have the ability to coordinate between ministries, departments, and between the Central and local governments to ensure coherence in implementing the general policies of the Communist Party and the State. Possess leadership experience, decisiveness, determination, and promptly make decisions on complex and challenging matters within their sector or field of responsibility. Remain uninfluenced by group interests. Have served and completed tasks well in leadership and management positions at the level of deputy minister or deputy head of central ministries and agencies, or key leadership roles at the provincial level.

Specific Standards for the Position of President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology:

According to Subsection b, Section 2.15, Subitem 2, Item I of Regulation 214-QD/TW of 2020 which stipulates the standards for the position of President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology as follows:

b) President: Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences

Ensure full compliance with the general standards of members of the Central Executive Committee, and simultaneously, possess the following qualities and competencies: Have extensive knowledge of the national, regional, and global situations; have the capability in theoretical research, practical summary, and high reputation in the field of scientific research. Have a high sense of responsibility, contributing to the scientific basis, and policymaking. Hold a doctoral degree in a relevant specialty; capable of working in an international environment. Have served and completed tasks well in leadership and management positions at the level of deputy head of central ministries and authorities, mass organizations, public service providers, or key leadership roles at the provincial level.
