Specific Allowance Rates for Guard Forces

Special Allowance Rate for the Protective Force as stipulated in Clause 1, Article 3 of Circular 162/2018/TT-BQP guiding the implementation of special allowance policies for the Protective Force under the Ministry of National Defense, accordingly:

Special Allowance Rate

Subjects specified in Clauses 1 and 2 of Article 2 of this Circular are entitled to one of the four levels of special allowance, including: 30%, 25%, 20%, and 15% based on the salary level of military ranks for officers or category, group, rank for professional military personnel, as follows:

a) The 30% allowance rate applies to:

- Protective officers, professional military personnel performing duties: safeguarding access; protecting international guests visiting and working in Vietnam; patrolling, guarding residences, workplaces, key areas, and particularly important events as regulated;

- Officers holding leadership or command positions in the Protective Department and Protective Operations Team;

- Officers with a military rank from Trung uy lieutenant or professional military personnel with a salary equivalent to or below the rank of Trung uy lieutenant.

b) The 25% allowance rate applies to:

- Protective officers, professional military personnel performing duties: security escort drivers, operational drivers, guiders, escorts; inspecting explosives, flammable substances, radioactive substances, or other dangerous items, toxic substance testing; combat operations; reconnaissance; information serving protection work; special forces; mobility;

- Officers with a military rank of Thuong uy lieutenant, Dai uy captain or professional military personnel with a salary equivalent to officers with a military rank of Thuong uy lieutenant, Dai uy captain (excluding cases guided in point a of this section).

c) The 20% allowance rate applies to:

- Protective officers, professional military personnel directly serving comrades leaders of the Communist Party, the State, the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front;

- Officers with a military rank from Thieu ta major or professional military personnel with a salary equivalent to or above the rank of Thieu ta major (excluding cases guided in points a, b of this section).

d) The 15% allowance rate applies to protective officers, professional military personnel not falling under the guidance of points a, b, c of this section.
