Shall the rescue vessels of Vietnam Coast Guard be painted black?
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 28 of Decree 61/2019/ND-CP regulating the colors of Vietnam Coast Guard vessels as follows:
Rescue Vessels
- The hull is painted orange, the deck is painted green, the front of the symbol strip is the ship's identification number painted in white, and the back of the symbol strip bears the text "VIETNAM COAST GUARD" in white, uppercase letters.
- The cabin is painted white, the upper border of the cabin is painted orange, and on both sides of the cabin is the text "CẢNH SÁT BIỂN VIỆT NAM" in blue, uppercase letters.
Accordingly, the colors of Vietnam Coast Guard rescue vessels are regulated as above, to facilitate visibility during rescue operations.
Thus, Vietnam Coast Guard rescue vessels are not to be painted black.
