Selection of Citizens for the Mobile Police: What Are the Regulations?
How is the selection of citizens into the Mobile Police regulated?
Pursuant to Article 26 of the Law on Mobile Police 2022 (effective from January 1, 2023), the selection of citizens into the Mobile Police is stipulated as follows:
Vietnamese citizens, regardless of being male or female, who possess political and ethical qualities, meet health standards, and are of appropriate age to fulfill the task requirements and volunteer to join, can be selected into the Mobile Police.
The Mobile Police is given priority in selecting citizens stipulated in clause 1 of this Article, who have the appropriate professional, technical, operational levels or possess suitable talents to serve long-term in the Mobile Police.
The Minister of Public Security shall detail this Article.
How is the training, coaching, fostering, and deployment of Mobile Police officers and soldiers regulated?
According to Article 27 of this Law, the training, coaching, fostering, and deployment of Mobile Police officers and soldiers are stipulated as follows:
Mobile Police officers and soldiers shall be trained and fostered in politics, law, professional knowledge; trained in military and martial arts, and other necessary knowledge suitable with their assigned tasks and authorities; encouraged to develop talents to serve long-term in the Mobile Police.
Mobile Police officers and soldiers shall be organized according to the staffing table and appropriately deployed based on the nature, task requirements, and operational areas of each unit and force.
The Minister of Public Security shall detail clause 2 of this Article.
