Schedule of the Vietnam International Defence Expo 2024
According to the latest announcement from the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam International Defence Expo 2024, from 9 a.m. on December 21, the public will be able to visit the expo, instead of the previous schedule of 1:30 p.m.
From December 19, 2024, to December 22, 2024, at Gia Lam Airport (Long Bien District, Hanoi), the Vietnam International Defence Expo 2024 will take place.
The schedule for the Vietnam International Defence Expo 2024 is as follows:
- December 19
9 a.m.-11 a.m.: Inauguration ceremony restricted to VIPs and guests with a specific invitation
11 a.m.-5 p.m.: For industry professionals
- December 20
9 a.m.-5 p.m.: For industry professionals
- December 21
9 a.m.-5 p.m.: For industry professionals and the public
- December 22
9 a.m.-3 p.m.: For industry professionals and the public

Which authority is competent to issue the exhibition organization license in Vietnam?
Based on Article 11 of Decree 23/2019/ND-CP, the authority responsible for granting the exhibition organization license is specified as follows:
[1] The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam shall issue the exhibition organization license for:
- Exhibitions organized by central organizations held abroad
- Exhibitions organized by international organizations or foreign organizations in Vietnam
- Exhibitions organized by organizations from 02 or more provinces, cities and sent abroad.
[2] The Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism or the Departments of Culture and Sports of Vietnam shall issue the exhibition organization license for:
- Exhibitions organized by local organizations or individuals held abroad
- Exhibitions organized by foreign individuals within the locality
What documents are included in the application for the exhibition organization license in Vietnam?
Based on Article 12 of Decree 23/2019/ND-CP on the dossier, procedure, and process for applying for, and re-issuing an exhibition organization license:
Article 12. Dossier, procedure, and process for applying for, and re-issuing an exhibition organization license
- Organizations or individuals wishing to organize an exhibition must submit 01 set of dossier for applying for the exhibition organization license directly, via postal service, or through the online public service portal of the authority responsible for issuing the exhibition organization license as stipulated in Article 11 of this Decree.
The dossier comprises:
a) Application form for the exhibition organization license (Form number 01 in the Appendix attached to this Decree);
b) List of artworks, exhibits, and documents (clearly stating the name of the author, owner; name, quantity; material, dimensions of the artwork or exhibits, documents, accompanying annotations);
c) Photographs of each artwork, exhibit, document, and exhibition model (size 10x15 cm) printed on paper or stored on a digital storage device;
d) Agreement document or invitation letter, notice, contract from the foreign party regarding the exhibition (for exhibitions as specified in Clause 1, Article 10 of this Decree). Agreement document or contract for renting the exhibition venue (for exhibitions as specified in Clause 2, Article 10 of this Decree);
e) Copies of one of the following documents: identity card or citizen identification card of the exhibition organizer (for exhibitions organized by Vietnamese individuals); passport (for exhibitions organized by foreigners or Vietnamese citizens residing abroad).

According to the above regulations, the dossier for applying for an exhibition organization license includes the following documents:
- Application form for the exhibition organization license
- List of artworks, exhibits, and documents (clearly stating the name of the author, owner; name, quantity; material, dimensions of the artwork or exhibits, documents, accompanying annotations)
- Photographs of each artwork, exhibit, document, and exhibition model (size 10x15 cm) printed on paper or stored on a digital storage device
- Agreement document or invitation letter, notice, contract from the foreign party regarding the exhibition for exhibitions organized by organizations or individuals in Vietnam held abroad.
- Agreement document or contract for renting the exhibition venue for exhibitions organized by international organizations, foreign organizations, or individuals in Vietnam.
- Copies of one of the following documents:
+ Identity card or citizen identification card of the exhibition organizer for exhibitions organized by Vietnamese individuals
+ Passport for exhibitions organized by foreigners or Vietnamese citizens residing abroad
- A plan to ensure conditions concerning social order and safety, environmental hygiene, and fire and explosion prevention for exhibitions organized by international organizations, foreign organizations, or individuals in Vietnam.
Note: Documents in foreign languages must be translated into Vietnamese and authenticated as prescribed by law.
