Responsibilities and Duties of the Political Officer of the Militia and Self-Defense Company Unit from July 01, 2020
Based on Article 15 of Circular 29/2020/TT-BQP (Effective from July 01, 2020) which stipulates the responsibilities and duties of the political officer of a militia self-defense unit's company as follows:
- Responsibilities
Be responsible before the law, the executive committee (party cell), the commander, the political commissar, and the political officer of higher levels and the executive committee (party cell) of one's own level regarding party work and political work in the building, training, and activities of the militia self-defense unit within their jurisdiction.
- Duties
- Lead and direct the unit in adhering to the guidelines, policies of the Communist Party, the laws of the State, the leadership resolutions of the party executive committee, the management of the People's Committee at all levels, or the head of the agency, organization; the directives and orders of the commander, political commissar, and political officer of higher levels;
- Thoroughly grasp all aspects of the situation; preside and cooperate with the commander of the militia self-defense unit at the same level to set up party work and political work plans for the building, training, and operations of the militia self-defense, then submit them to the competent authority for approval and organize the implementation;
- Inspect, review, and summarize party work and political work, and report as required.
