Responsibilities and Duties of the Battalion Commander of the Militia Unit from July 01, 2020
Based on Article 14 of Circular 29/2020/TT-BQP (Effective from July 1, 2020) stipulating the roles and duties of the battalion commander of the militia and self-defense force unit as follows:
- Roles
Responsible before the law, the party committee (cell), the commander, the political commissar, superior political officers, and their level party committee (cell) for the establishment, training, and operation of the militia and self-defense force unit under their command.
- Duties
- Command the militia and self-defense force unit under their command to implement the guidelines and policies of the Communist Party, the laws of the State, leadership resolutions of the party committee (cell), the management and administration of the People's Committees at all levels, or the party committee (cell), the head of the agency or organization; directives and orders from the superior commanders according to the management hierarchy;
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the situation, prepare plans, submit them for approval by the competent authorities; organize the implementation of tasks related to establishment, training, combat readiness, combat, combat support, civil defense, and policies of the militia and self-defense force unit under their command;
- Register, manage, and grasp the political situation, ideology, level, and professional capability of the command positions and soldiers of the militia and self-defense force under their command;
- Battalion commanders, squadron commanders, company commanders, and flotilla commanders cooperate with the political officers of the same level to carry out party work and political work for their unit;
- Inspect, coordinate inspections, conduct preliminary, final reviews, and report as prescribed.
