Regulations on Disciplinary Actions for Humiliating Subordinates in the Military

Article 17 of Circular 16/2020/TT-BQP regulating the disciplinary measures for humiliating or using corporal punishment against subordinates is stipulated as follows:

- Commanders or superiors who use words or actions that insult the dignity, honor, or body of subordinates shall be disciplined by measures ranging from reprimand, warning to salary reduction, and demotion in military rank.

- In the following cases, disciplinary measures ranging from demotion, dismissal, deprivation of officer rank to deprivation of military title, and forced resignation shall be applied:

+ Having been disciplined but still committing violations;

+ Causing injury or harm to health but not to the level of criminal prosecution.
