Proposal for Appointment of Official to Leadership and Management Position under the Ministry, Sector, and Local Authority Management

The sequence and procedures for appointing officials to leadership and management positions under the supervision of Ministries, departments, and localities are stipulated in Clause 1, Article 46 of Decree 138/2020/ND-CP. To be specific, as follows:

- Agencies and organizations that need to appoint leadership or management officials must submit a written proposal to the competent authority regarding the policy, quantity, personnel source, and expected job assignment for the personnel to be appointed;

- The competent authority shall consider and decide on the appointment policy no later than 10 days from the date of receipt of the proposal from the agency or organization;

- No later than 15 days from the date of receiving the written approval of the appointment policy from the competent authority, the head of the agency or organization must proceed with the process of selecting personnel as prescribed.
