Probationary Period Duration for Officials
The probationary period of officials as stipulated in Clause 2, Article 20 of Decree 138/2020/ND-CP, specifically:
- 12 months for recruitment into official category C;
- 06 months for recruitment into official category D;
- Maternity leave according to social insurance benefits, sick leave of 14 days or more, unpaid leave, periods of temporary detention, custody, or suspension from work as stipulated by law are not counted towards the probationary period.
In case the probationer takes sick leave or has a legitimate reason for absence of fewer than 14 days, and is approved by the head of the agency or unit where the recruited official is undergoing probation policies, this period will be counted towards the probationary period.
