Principles for Issuing Press Releases on Legal Documents

According to Article 2 of Circular 07/2021/TT-BTP, the regulations are as follows:

Article 2. Implementation Principles

1. The agency in charge of drafting legal documents issued by the Government of Vietnam or by the Prime Minister of Vietnam (hereinafter referred to as the drafting agency) is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the information provided to the Ministry of Justice for the preparation or correction (if any) of the press release.

2. Ensure regular, continuous, and close coordination between relevant agencies and units in preparing the press release.

3. Promote the initiative, positivity, and emphasize the responsibility of the drafting agency in coordinating the preparation of the press release for legal documents issued by the Government of Vietnam or the Prime Minister of Vietnam.

Providing Information for Preparing Press Releases on Legal Documents

According to Article 3 of Circular 07/2021/TT-BTP, the regulations are as follows:

Article 3. Providing Information for Preparing Press Releases

1. The drafting agency is responsible for providing information on legal documents drafted by their agency that have been issued by the Government of Vietnam or the Prime Minister of Vietnam within the month to the Ministry of Justice no later than the 5th of the following month to assist in preparing the press release (according to the form stipulated in the Appendix issued with this Circular).

2. The content of the information must clearly state: the name of the document, date, month, year of issuance; issuing agency; effective date; necessity and purpose of issuance; main content of the legal document.

3. The Ministry of Justice shall coordinate with the Office of the Government of Vietnam to monitor and expedite the provision of information for preparing the press release.
