The Standing Committee of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee organizes the Online contest to explore the 95-year History of the Founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and the History of the Provincial Party Committee of Binh Thuan" on the provincial Party Committee's electronic portal (https://www.binhthuan.dcs.vn/) in celebration of the 95th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025).
Eligible participants are citizens aged 14 years and above, possessing full civil capacity, residing, studying, or working in Binh Thuan province.
The contest is conducted in the form of online multiple-choice tests on the provincial Party Committee's electronic portal, the Propaganda Department's electronic information page; Binh Thuan Newspaper; Binh Thuan Radio and Television; Binh Thuan Provincial Youth Union and the electronic information pages of various departments, committees, sectors, the Front, and political-social organizations in the province, districts, towns, and cities.

The contest takes place from December 6, 2024, to January 5, 2025, comprising 4 exam periods:
+ Period 01: From December 6, 2024, to December 15, 2024.
+ Period 02: From December 16, 2024, to December 22, 2024.
+ Period 03: From December 23, 2024, to December 29, 2024.
+ Period 04: From December 30, 2024, to January 5, 2025.

What are the duties of members of Vietnam Communist Party?
Based on Article 2 of the Charter of the Communist Party of Vietnam 2011, the duties of members of Vietnam Communist Party are as follows:
- Absolutely loyal to the revolutionary ideals and objectives of the Vietnam Communist Party, strictly adhere to the Political Platform, the Party Charter, resolutions, directives of the Party, and state law;
- Successfully complete assigned tasks; comply absolutely with the assignments and mobilization of the Party.
- Constantly study, train, improve knowledge, work capacity, political qualities, revolutionary ethics, and maintain a healthy lifestyle;
- Fight against individualism, opportunism, localism, bureaucracy, corruption, wastefulness, and other negative phenomena.
- Adhere to the regulations of the Central Committee on what members are not allowed to do.
- Closely associate with the people, respect and promote the people's mastery;
- Care for the material and spiritual life and protect the legitimate interests of the people;
- Actively participate in mass activities and social work in places of employment and residence;
- Propagate and mobilize family and the people to implement the Party's lines, policies, and the state's laws.
- Participate in building and protecting the Party's lines, policies, and organization;
- Obey discipline, maintain solidarity and unity within the Party;
- Regularly perform self-criticism and criticism, be honest with the Party;
- Conduct Party member development work; participate in Party activities and pay party fees as stipulated.
Which positions does the Central Committee in Vietnam elect?
Based on Article 17 of the Charter of the Communist Party of Vietnam 2011:
Article 17.
1. The Central Committee elects the Politburo; elects the General Secretary among the members of the Politburo; establishes the Secretariat comprising the General Secretary, a number of Politburo members assigned by the Politburo, and a number of Secretariat members elected by the Central Committee among the members of the Central Committee; elects the Central Inspection Commission; elects the Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission among the members of the Central Inspection Commission.
The number of members of the Politburo, Secretariat, and Central Inspection Commission is decided by the Central Committee.
The General Secretary shall not serve more than two consecutive terms.
- The Politburo leads, inspects, and supervises the implementation of the resolutions of the National Representative Congress, and resolutions of the Central Committee; decides on policies, organizational matters, and personnel issues; decides to convene and prepare the content of the Central Committee meetings; reports on work done at Central Committee conferences or upon the request of the Central Committee.
- The Secretariat leads the daily operations of the Party: instructs in party building work and mass work; inspects and supervises the implementation of the Party's resolutions and directives on economy, society, national defense, and security, foreign affairs; directs the coordination of action among organizations in the political system; decides on some organizational, personnel issues, and other matters as assigned by the Central Committee; directs or inspects the preparation of issues for the Politburo's discussion and decision.
The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam elects the following offices:
- The Politburo
- General Secretary among the members of the Politburo;
- Establishes the Secretariat comprising the General Secretary, a number of Politburo members assigned by the Politburo, and a number of Secretariat members elected by the Central Committee among the members of the Central Committee;
- The Central Inspection Commission;
- Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission among the members of the Central Inspection Commission.
