Office of the People's Council and the District People's Committee: What Are Its Functions?
The functions of the Office of the District People's Council and the District People's Committee are stipulated in Clause 10, Article 1 of Decree 108/2020/ND-CP, specifically as follows:
- Advising and aggregating for the People's Council and the People's Committee on: Activities of the People's Council and the People's Committee;
- Advising the Chairman of the People's Committee on the direction and administration of the Chairman of the People's Committee;
- Administrative procedure control;
- Providing information to serve the management and activities of the People's Council, the People's Committee, and local government agencies;
- Ensuring physical and technical facilities for the activities of the People's Council and the People's Committee;
- Organizing the implementation of the "one-stop shop" and "inter-agency one-stop shop" mechanisms in resolving administrative procedures within the scope and management functions of the district-level People's Committee;
- Guiding, receiving dossiers from individuals and organizations in all fields under the jurisdiction of the district-level People's Committee, transferring the dossiers to specialized agencies under the district-level People's Committee for resolution, and receiving the results to return to individuals and organizations.
For district-level administrative units with national land, sea, and island borders, the Office of the District People's Council and the District People's Committee shall advise and assist the district-level People's Committee in performing state management functions on foreign affairs and border affairs.
