According to the National standard TCVN/QS 1822:2021 for the uniform of the People's Self-Defense Forces, issued together with Circular 94/2021/TT-BQP, the uniform of the People's Self-Defense Forces - Part 37: Undershirts is stipulated as follows:
1 Scope of Application
TCVN/QS 1822-37:2021 specifies the technical requirements and testing methods for the undershirt of the People's Self-Defense Forces.
2 General Provisions
The measuring and testing instruments for the technical specifications of the undershirt of the People's Self-Defense Forces are specified in Appendix A, Table A.1.
3 Technical Requirements
3.1 General Requirements
3.1.1 External Requirements
- The undershirt of the People's Self-Defense Forces is a pull-over style with short sleeves, a round collar, and a dark blue color.
- The finished fabric of the undershirt of the People's Self-Defense Forces should not have any external defects such as:
+ Fiber defects, uneven fibers, different fiber lengths;
+ Structural defects, missing fibers, holes, creases, fabric stripes, fiber knots;
+ Dyeing defects, dye spots or stripes, color tone variations, color bleeding, and other defects.
3.1.2 Material Requirements
The undershirt is made of single knit CVC fabric, meeting the specified technical requirements in Appendix B, Table B.34. The fiber composition is PET/Cotton: 40/60 (combed cotton), fiber count: Ne 36/1, meeting the specified technical requirements in Appendix B, Table B.33. It is dyed with disperse dye for the PET component, reactive dye for the cotton component, finished with softening treatment, and shrink-proofing treatment using xylene burning.
Peco 60/3 thread of the same color as the main material is used for sewing, meeting the specified technical requirements in Appendix B, Table B.6.
3.2 Technical Specifications
3.2.1 Basic Dimensions
The undershirt of the People's Self-Defense Forces comes in sizes 90, 95, 100, and 110. The basic dimensions of the undershirt are specified in Appendix C, Table C.35.
3.2.2 Cutting Requirements
- The product details must be cut with straight grain alignment.
- The fabric is cut along the grain for the body and sleeves of the garment.
- The fabric is cut across the grain for the collar edge.
3.2.3 Sewing Requirements
- Specialized sewing machines are used. The sewing stitches must have a density of 10 stitches per 1 cm (inner side). The beginning and end of each stitch must have 3 overlapping stitches, with a length of 1 cm, cut cleanly without excess thread, without loose stitches or thread ends.
- The shoulder seams are reinforced with a 0.5 cm wide specialized woven tape of the same color as the main material.
- Topstitching is used for the collar, cuffs, and side seams.
- Parallel stitching with a 3 mm stitch length is used for the collar.
- Parallel stitching with a 6 mm stitch length is used for the cuffs and bottom hem.
- Stitch density (outer side): 9 stitches per 20 mm.
- The collar is finished with a 14 mm wide ribbing (with 2 rows of decorative stitching), and the cuffs and sleeve openings are finished with a 20 mm wide ribbing.
4 Testing Methods
4.1 Sampling Ratio
Testing should be conducted on a random sample of 5% to 10% of the quantity of products in each batch.
4.2 General Testing
4.2.1 Visual Inspection
Visual inspection must meet the requirements specified in 3.1.1.
4.2.2 Material Testing
The production materials must have clear origins and undergo testing before being used in production. The variety and quality of raw materials are checked through conformity certificates, quality inspection records, or quality inspection reports. The test results must meet the requirements specified in 3.1.2.
4.3 Testing of Technical Specifications
Testing of the technical specifications of the undershirt of the People's Self-Defense Forces is conducted using the measuring and testing instruments specified in Appendix A, Table A.1. The test results must meet the requirements specified in 3.2.
5 General Handling
After production, the undershirt of the People's Self-Defense Forces must meet the requirements specified in this Standard. In case the test results do not meet the requirements, a retest should be conducted on a double amount of samples from the same batch. If the retest still does not meet the requirements, the product should not be used.
6 Labeling, Packaging, Transportation, and Storage
6.1 Labeling
The product should be labeled with woven labels containing complete information: Name of the manufacturing unit, year of production, and a size label.
- Label placement: The woven label is folded in half, with the size label placed in the center on the left side, 15 cm away from the bottom hem.
6.2 Packaging
- The underwear is neatly folded, with 10 pieces packed in a plastic bag, and then 5 bags tied together.
- The quantity of products in one package: 150 pieces.
- The package is packed in a PP bag as specified in Appendix D.
6.3 Transportation
The products are transported using common means oftransportation, ensuring that they are protected from damage and contamination.
6.4 Storage
The undershirt of the People's Self-Defense Forces should be stored in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse, away from direct sunlight, chemicals, and other sources of potential damage. The storage temperature should be between 10°C and 30°C, and the relative humidity should be between 40% and 70%.
