Lost Teeth That Have Been Reimplanted: Can One Serve in the Police Force?
Based on Clause 3, Article 5 of Circular 45/2019/TT-BCA, it is stipulated to only select citizens with health classifications of type 1 and 2 and those who meet the special criteria as regulated in Article 6 of this Circular to participate in police duty.
The method of scoring, recording health certificates for participation in the People's Public Security, and health classification are performed in accordance with Clauses 2, 3, 4, and 5, Article 9 of Joint Circular No. 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP dated June 30, 2016, by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of National Defense stipulating the health examination for performing military service (hereinafter referred to as Joint Circular No. 16/2016/TTLT-BYT-BQP). (Clause 2, Article 4 of Circular 45)
The health standards concerning clinical and subclinical examinations for citizens selected to perform the People's Public Security duty are implemented according to the current regulations in Table 2, Appendix 1 issued with this Circular. (Clause 2, Article 5 of Circular 45).
To be specific: for your case of tooth loss:
No. 20. Tooth Loss
- Retaining all 28 teeth (excluding wisdom teeth): Point 1
- Lost teeth with functional and aesthetic prosthetics: Point 2
Classification of health is based on the total points given for 8 criteria. To be specific:
a) Type 1: All 8 criteria achieve point 1;
b) Type 2: At least 1 criterion at point 2;
c) Type 3: At least 1 criterion at point 3;
....
In your case, you have lost 2 teeth, but if you get prosthetic replacements (ensuring function and aesthetics), you will be classified as having health type 2.
Based on the above regulations, if your case is concluded by the Health Examination Council as having health type 2, you will still meet the standards to participate in the police duty (aside from other conditions and illnesses).
Respectfully!
